Privacy Policy

Effective September 2026

Lit Apps (“we”, “our”) builds mobile apps. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.

What We Collect

Information you provide

  • Account details (email, username if applicable)
  • Profile information you choose to add

Automatically collected

  • Device type and operating system
  • App usage and interaction data
  • Crash reports and performance data

Face Data (select apps)

  • Some apps use face photos for features like aging or styling
  • Photos are processed using our own models, not shared with third parties
  • Face data is stored securely like other profile images
  • We delete face data when you delete your account

Voice Recordings (select apps)

  • Some apps let you record your voice — to dictate text, or to create a synthetic voice that narrates your own audio
  • Recordings and any voice model built from them are used only to generate audio for you, never to identify you and never to train a voice offered to anyone else
  • We use specialist speech and AI providers to process them on our behalf, under contract
  • We delete recordings and voice models when you delete your account

How We Use Your Data

  • To provide and improve our apps
  • To personalize your experience
  • To send important updates (you can opt out)
  • To fix bugs and improve performance

Service Providers & Advertising

Who we share data with

  • Google Firebase — authentication, hosting, crash and performance reporting
  • PostHog — product analytics, so we can see which features are used
  • Qonversion — subscription and in-app purchase management
  • Apple and Google — payments and app distribution
  • Stripe — card payments where you subscribe on the web rather than through an app store
  • Speech, text and image AI providers — to generate the content some apps create for you, processed on our behalf and not used to train their public models

Measuring our own ads

  • We advertise our apps on other platforms. To learn which of those ads actually work, some of our apps send install, app-open and purchase events to Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and TikTok
  • Those events can include your device's advertising identifier, IP address and the value of a purchase, so the platform can match your install back to an ad you saw
  • This measures our own advertising. It does not put ads inside these apps, and it does not change anything you see in them
  • Each platform's own handling of this data is described in its policy — Meta and TikTok

Advertising (apps that show ads)

  • Some of our apps display ads served by third-party ad networks, including Google AdMob and AppLovin
  • These partners may use cookies, web beacons and device identifiers (the Advertising Identifier on iOS, the Advertising ID on Android) together with your IP address
  • They use this to select ads, cap how often you see the same ad, and measure whether ads worked
  • Google's handling of this data is described in its own privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy

Your choices

  • On iOS, both personalized ads and ad measurement require your permission — decline the tracking prompt, or change it later in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Your advertising identifier is then never shared
  • On Android there is no equivalent prompt. Delete your Advertising ID in Settings → Privacy → Ads, which stops it being shared, or reset it to break the link to past activity
  • Either way you keep the full app. Declining changes nothing except how well we can measure our own ads, and any ads you do see simply stop being personalized
  • You can also email us to object to this use of your data, and we will stop it for your account

What We Don't Do

  • We don't sell your data
  • We don't share face data with third parties
  • We don't share your advertising identifier on iOS unless you allow the tracking prompt, and on Android we stop sharing it as soon as you delete it in system settings
  • We don't send advertising platforms your email, your name, or anything you write, record or generate in the app

Your Rights

  • Request a copy of your data
  • Delete your account and data
  • Opt out of marketing communications
  • Correct data that is wrong, or ask us to restrict how we use it
  • Object to your data being used to measure our advertising
  • Withdraw a permission you gave earlier — including tracking, microphone, camera and photos — in your device settings

Contact us at support@litappslab.com to exercise these rights.

Data Security

We use encryption and secure infrastructure to protect your data.

Changes

We'll update this page if our practices change. Check back for the latest.
